Super cool time lapse video compilation in and around Manhattan.
At the EMP, wandering through the Battlestar Galactica, Avatar and the horror film exhibit and ending off by watching some of Clapton’s Crossroads festival on a really big screen.
The EMP Museum. Jimi Hendrix was born in Seattle, hence an exhibit in his honour. Some highlights from the Hendrix exhibit were the pieces of his Monterey Strat and originals of his lyrics scrawled on numerous pieces of hotel note paper. The ‘history of the guitar’ exhibit was also awesome.
Inside the EMP Museum. Jon and I spent a long time exploring the Nirvana exhibit.
The Experience Music Project / Science Fiction Museum (The EMP Museum). This made Jon very happy. Hence all the singing and shuffling evidenced by these photos.
Seattle is a very clean city. It’s difficult to conceive that it has anything to do with Grunge or Jimi Hendrix.
Some subway Christmas cheer.
The usual meeting venue for Apostles was being used so we met in St George’s other cathedral up on Park & 21st for one of our Advent services. It’s a really old, really pretty space. Eric arranged a great string section for a really nice sounding set.
The launch for the Apostles (our local church in NYC) worship album, Love Came Through. Some really great music on this album written, produced, played and sung by some friends of ours. Seriously, check the album out. I particularly like the rework of the 19th C hymn, Oh Christ What Burdens Bowed Thy Head. Check it out here.
Heading down The Mall in Central Park to my favourite version of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. The kid at the end of the video displays a good bit of social wisdom.
We came across these guys performing under The Mall bridge in Central Park
