Ivar’s Acres of Clams on the Seattle waterfront. Pretty much the best clam chowder in the universe.
A panorama shot of Seattle from the Seattle-Bremerton ferry.
A short video clip of the ferry coming into Seattle harbour. It’s a pretty typically gloomy day in Seattle.
We drove up from Gig Harbour to Bremerton further north on the peninsula. From there we caught the really big Bremerton-Seattle ferry past Bainbridge Island and across the Puget Sound to spend the day exploring downtown Seattle on our own.
The sun was out (!) and the lighting was good at the Nuclear Bunker. Perfect for a photo-op replete with the obligatory bit of side-lit driftwood, dripping with the symbology of the alienation of modern man in a natural environment… or something like that…
We went to Uptown Gig Harbour to watch Guy Ritchie’s new Sherlock Holmes film. It’s the first mall(ish) and movie theatre we’ve seen the inside of in about five months…
The Jonses took us out to Cold Stone Creamery. It’s pretty awesome really. i had the guys mix up a chocolate, chocolate and chocolate ice-cream with chocolate brownies, dipped in chocolate with chocolate… okay… you get the idea. Super nice.
Dan and the collar of shame:)
This was a really cool interactive video installation at the “Can’t Look Away” horror film exhibit at the EMP. It uses the viewer’s silhouette to produce some pretty cool shape and sound design effects.
At the EMP, wandering through the Battlestar Galactica, Avatar and the horror film exhibit and ending off by watching some of Clapton’s Crossroads festival on a really big screen.
